WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA

I leverage web and social media platforms to make our reporting not only more accessible but also more engaging, meeting our audience where they are while maintaining the quality of our coverage.

PHOTO GALLERIES

I’ve found that photo galleries are one of the most effective ways to enhance our online coverage, especially for events that many in our community might not experience firsthand. For stories such as a brief covering a local blacksmithing demonstration, I used photo galleries to bring the story to life visually. The images gave readers a richer sense of detail than words alone could provide, and in turn, helped drive engagement by making the content more immersive and accessible.

SNO INFOBOXES

For our coverage of the 10 propositions on the upcoming ballot, I designed an interactive online experience using SNO infoboxes rather than simply uploading a static image of the print page. Especially for text-heavy content like this, I wanted readers to be able to easily digest the information, so I organized the propositions into a dropdown menu that allows users to explore the details at their own pace in a clean, accessible format.
